Bath Place Viaducts

Tall arêtes of gritstone and brick on the corners on the severed lengths of viaduct running between Bath Place and Lower Avenue. The viaducts were built in 1852 and were part of the Rugby-Leamington line which was closed during the Beeching cuts of the 1960s.

Kelsey's Arete
(f5+) - The obvious tall arête on Lower Avenue, climbed on its left. Finished matched on the flat top beyond the 45 degree slopers.

The bold right hand side has not yet been climbed.

It seemed increadible to the other men that this lazy duffer should be the most daring and dextrous cragsman of his generation, as he proved whenever he tackled a precipice which had baffled every other climber in the world.
